Bloggers getting popular

We have reached 1000+ bloggers in first 3 weeks of Beta launch. We got chance to look at site statistics and found that user profile page with comment wall were most visited pages.

Business, Money, Health, Love etc tags were constantly growing. Should we colorize the Tags? Nope. Tested in piece of swatch denied that. We came back to B/W.

Some people reported they could not upload Avatar. We moved profile input box into second tab in user Account and moved back Avatar uploader in default tab. When there were no Avatars we reset that with default blue Avatar. Country list were looking dull and we added country flags to make it cool. We have plan to group country by continents.

Most of the Bloggers registered themselves in Personal Category. Is it because they also liked it to exchange personal idea? We checked Bloggers by country and found USA always stayed at the top. Philippines have fastest growing members outside USA. This is kind of interesting pattern. Later Wiki showd that Philippines have fastest growing trend in social networking.

The use of social networking website has become extensive in the Philippines that the country has been tagged as "The Social Networking Capital of the World," and has also become part of Filipino cyberculture. Social networking is also used in the Philippines as a form of election campaign material, as well as tools to aid criminal investigation.

Our first sketch

In one nice morning we sat with emails with requests from Bloggers users. It was a cool domain for Pinging Blog updates but there were even better plan!

We love pencil and paper even in digital age. First sketch we made was minimalistic approach. Web is going Minimal - isn't that?. There were only few items in home page - strong but calorie free! At the top regular header, then showing a number registered Bloggers profiles following icons of recent visitors and showing listing by Tag and Country. We need to add social communication as base line and comment wall was added. Voting for profile and marking spam was must. Bloggers should write about themselves in profile. Yes later we find Blogger loved their profile. From Beginning we decided hosting a platfrom for Blogging is not a good idea as we already have lot of Blog hosting sites. But in profile we wanted everyone share their Blog links.
